In the Aspenhurst episode of Home, Life & Style, host Parker Kelley visits the studio of collage artist Vanessa Compton. Vanessa co-owns Miller’s Thumb, a seasonal art gallery in Vermont’s rural Northeast Kingdom. Vanessa has a vast background in the arts and has travelled all over the world. She also comes from a family of artists and carries on the tradition by living and working from the same remote studio/home that her grandmother created from for nearly 50 years. Vanessa creates surrealistic landscapes with mythical and dream-like qualities. Here is Parker’s full conversation with Vanessa.
